Puka Soncco means ‘Red Heart’ in Quechua which is the native language of the Incas in this region of Peru. This coffee was named this as a control on the blend of varietals that were used to make this wonderful lot.
After fermentation the coffee was taken to NARSA HQ drying beds by Don Julio who is the president of the coffee cooperative in Peru. The drying beds are at 1200masl so quite a bit lower than the growing area. The drying process took between 20-24 days for the entire lot.
Give this coffee a try and let us know what your take on it is.
