How it started
Two brothers. A popcorn popper. Then a real roaster.
Shawn and Brandon Ensz started by roasting a few ounces at a time in a modified air popcorn popper — just to see if fresh roast was worth the mess. It was.
In February 2015 they moved to a commercial air roaster. The name Aerís comes from those air-roasting roots. Today they still buy the green, roast the lots, and answer the phone from Iroquois, South Dakota.
Rural but modern. Knowledgeable without the pretension.

This little gem is off the beaten path, but well worth the drive. Kombucha and nitro cold brew on tap, amazing espresso, and genuine hospitality. I can't wait to go back.
